Miley Ray Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, was brought up by Tish Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, and her siblings in Thompson's Station in Tennessee. Miley is the youngest of five brothers and sisters. Two older siblings and a younger sister. The parents of her named her after they hoped she would achieve excellence. Miley was nicknamed Smiley as a young girl that she was awarded because of her cheerful nature. Ron Cyrus is her Democratic politician father. Cyrus was the first student at Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. Cyrus, along with her parents, moved to Toronto Canada around 2001, after she was 8. Her father Billy Ray played a character on the TV show Doc. Cyrus began to consider acting around this point. She acted alongside her father, Doc (2001), in the first part of the film. Also, she landed a minor part in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Cyrus was on Hannah Montana (2006) (a Disney show that follows a teenager girl who leads a double-life singing) as the main character. The father of her character was back along with her. The show went down a storm and hits records, sell-out tours and merchandising deals soon came. Cyrus rose to fame as an early teen. After the success that was Hannah Montana 2006, Cyrus changed roles. She was Ronnie Miller and Lola alongside Demi Moore in The Last Song 2010 and LOL 2012.
